The choice model is significant because it gives families the opportunity to choose what schools they want to attend rather than being confined to ones neighborhood. This can greatly impact families because the choice to go to better school can provide better opportunities by providing a better education. My biggest take away would be the closing of schools and how most of the schools that were closed served the most vulnerable of the population.
