Annotated Bibliography

You will submit an annotated bibliography with (4) annotations. This assignment requires you to review the literature on a given research topic in preparation for your “Synthesis Essay.” You will also repeat this process when preparing for your research paper at the end of the semester. In order to complete this assignment, you will use academic databases to find credible and relevant research to answer the question you have chosen. After you have reviewed, read critically, and annotated several research articles, you will choose which ones are most helpful to you and submit a well-developed annotated bibliography. 

Requirements are below.

·       Each annotation will be between 175-350 words in length.

·       Include a summary of the article; these are the sentences that describe the main arguments, findings, and/or conclusions. This should NOT be a copy and paste from the abstract.

·       Include a critical evaluation; these are the sentences within your annotation where you explicitly discuss how the article will be useful to you in your research.

·       Your resources must be dated within the last 8-10 years, and preferably in the last 6 years.

·       Optional: include one central quote.

·       APA Style is required

·       Submitted via a WORD document in Moodle

Note If you are reviewing the YouTube resources I provided in class, please note that one example refers to the annotation structure I require for this assignment as a “blended annotation,” while another example uses the term “argumentative annotation.”
