Principles and practices required for the teaching and learning of health and physical education concepts developmentally appropriate for grades preK-5. Focus will be on integration of physical education and health in the classroom through multidisciplinary learning. Theoretical concepts, including social and emotional learning, that support health and physical literacy will be emphasized. The course is designated for pre-service teachers outside of the physical education major.
