The Women of the Shield Academy is currently underway! This program is a law enforcement cohort sponsored by Motorola Solutions Foundation. We have partnered with academic institutions to identify women who are currently enrolled in criminal justice programs or interested in a career in law enforcement, with a particular focus on women in underrepresented communities. Attached is the flyer with more information about the program. Please feel free to disseminate it to whomever you feel may benefit from the cohort.

Our goal through this program is to expose our participants to women who are currently in the field. We want to give them an intimate look into a career in law enforcement. We are currently looking for 2-3 students who are in the criminal justice program seeking a career in law enforcement. Also, as June mentioned, I'll be on campus Thursday at 5pm. We did a short film about the program and our film director is an alumni of Chicago State. The film will be played in room WSC 109. I hope you can make it & I look forward to meeting you!
