CSU LA Program Faculty Course Proposals (Due Nov 7th) and the LA Program Newsletter

Learning Assistants (LAs) are students who work with course instructors to facilitate discussions and learning in a variety of active classroom settings.  The CSU LA Program is part of the international Learning Assistant Alliance made up of over 150 institutions.

Faculty and Staff: We hope to see many of you at one of the LA Program workshops on either Nov 3rd (in person) or Nov 4th (virtual). please visit the registration page here.  [while this workshop is geared toward faculty and staff, students are also invited to attend]. Don't forget to register!

Faculty course proposals to have an LA in your classroom for Spring are due on Nov 7th!

Faculty: Want to get involved in the LA Model for S23?  We welcome new and returning faculty to the program.  (Want to know more about the LA model first?  Please attend the workshop Nov 3rd or 4th and/or contact Mel and Andrea)

Faculty should submit their course proposals by Nov 7th.

(then students go in and apply)

Steps for you to apply:

Simply go to https://learningassistantalliance.org/

• if you already have an account, simply login

• if you don't have an account, click signup and follow the instructions (these are free accounts.)

Once you have your account go to https://learningassistantalliance.org/modules/lac/staff/fcp/startfcp.php to create a new proposal.
